Toshiba
have created the TG01 which is a smartphone with a 4.1 inch WVGA
touchscreen. The phone only measures 9.1mm in thickness making it very
slim too.
The WVGA touchscreen on the Toshiba TG01 has a resolution of 800 x
480 pixels which allows for more information to be crammed on to the
screen. On the connectivity side there is HSDPA, GPS and WiFi (no
mention of Bluetooth although it probably does have it). A microSD slot
allows you to store plenty of data on there.
The phone runs Toshibas custom 3D GUI which hopefully isn’t
scary as 3D and GUI often don’t work out too well in my opinion
due to limitations of the hardware. The OS running the TG01 is Windows
Mobile 6.1 and the smartphone runs with a Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon
chip.
Overall the Toshiba TG01 looks like a nice and capable smartphone and one well worth looking out for.
